You know it’s meant to last when you meet someone at your favorite bar, right? Okay, maybe that is not always the case but that is how Emily and Celestine’s story started. The night they both met for the first time, Emily was up on the stage at the bar, sharing a funny story. Celestine was immediately captivated by Emily’s humor but was too shy to approach her. But as fate would have it, both matched on Tinder a couple of days later and the rest is history! Being several long-term relationships in the past that didn’t felt quite right, they both instantly knew that this was going to last.

Our favorite part of their love story is the proposal. Celestine asked Emily to go on a picnic at their usual spot. Since Celestine had previously hinted, she wanted to do a big, public proposal, Emily was not really expecting anything to happen on their picnic. However, she was quite surprised and thrilled when the engagement ring tumbled out of the picnic basket. Emily was not big on the idea of a public proposal, so she was in awe of how her partner made sure it was done just the way she liked it.

Emily always loved the idea of a small wedding, but Celestine wanted to have a big Texas Family wedding. Due to the pandemic, both of them got their wish! The couple decided to elope and spend the big day just with each other and postpone the big wedding until the pandemic is over.

El Dorado Canyon was the spot picked for their big day. The wedding theme was laid back with desert vibes and a crossover between boho and Texas. Emily wore a white cold shoulder dress from David’s Bridal with yellow heels to match the colors of the bouquet. As for Celestine, she went with a navy shirt, brown pants and a white suit jacket.

The couple got ready together and drove to the wedding venue. Emily carefully hid the dress from Celestine until the first look and her reaction was priceless!

Just as Emily and Celestine were about to read their vows, some chipmunks, rabbits and quails came out from the dessert to surround them. It truly looked like a scene from a fairy tale; like nature was taking a moment to witness their elopement and make up for the fact that their family was not there.

Emily and Celestine are beautiful people who deserve to be with each other. We wish them lots of love for their future!
