This one-hour engagement photoshoot gives you beautiful photos that you can:
- use to announce your engagement
- include on wedding invites, websites, or your wedding guest book
- keep as a treasured memory that captures those freshly-engaged feelings.
Engagement photo sessions are also great practice for your wedding day shoot. Getting in front of the camera now will (hopefully) make it feel less weird when you do it on your special day. Use it as a trial run. You may even get some inspiration for your wedding day shot list.

This offer is limited to 12 couples. Book early to avoid missing out and secure your session as close to sunset as possible. This is when the venue looks it’s best. Photography sessions are allocated on a first-in, best-dressed policy.
Staying COVID safe
Here’s how we’re keeping our photo sessions safe and COVID-free.
We politely request that you wear a mask, as directed by Nevada health directives. You’ll be invited to remove it just before your photoshoot begins. Please also BYO hand sanitizer.
What to expect on the day
1. Arrive at Cili at Bali Hai
On March 14 get to the venue at your allotted time. A member of the Cactus Collective Weddings team will check you in. They’ll explain how the photo session will work and discuss the locations you may be taken to.
2. Time for touch-ups
With a glass of bubbles in hand, you’re led to the beauty station. Here the Amelia C & Co team adds their flourishes of professional makeup artistry. You know, the sort of touch-ups that will fix makeup in place and keep it looking flawless on film. They’ll also tame any stray hairs or give you a simple style that will hold during your session. This should take around 40-minutes total.
3. The photo session
Lasting 60-minutes, the photoshoot is divided between beautiful locations around Cili and the Bali Hai property. You can expect:
- 40-minutes of photography at 1-2 locations with stunning views
- 20-minutes of photography at your mini engagement party.
4. Cake and champagne
Your special experience rounds off with time to enjoy your vanilla engagement cake, finish your fizz, and soak up the moment. (You may even contemplate whether this venue is perfect for your upcoming wedding. Did you know we coordinate ceremonies here?)
5. Continue the celebrations
Before we part ways we’ll gift you a fresh bottle of complimentary champagne to enjoy later (along with any cake you have left) and a small potted cactus.
After March 14
Professional editing of your engagement photos takes around four weeks. When they’re ready, the images are uploaded to a secure online gallery. A link and password are sent via email. You can then access the images, download, and distribute them however you like.

FAQs
1. How long is the experience and can we choose the time?
The experience lasts two hours. Your session time is confirmed once you book. Times are allocated working from sunset, backwards. The sooner you secure your booking, the closer your session is to sunset.
2. Can family, friends, our kids or pets join us?
This is a couple-only experience so unfortunately family, friends, kids, and pets can’t tag along. This is a chance for you and your love to celebrate your recent engagement without distraction and get some beautiful images of just the two of you.
3. Can we add more time for more photography?
Unfortunately, not for this offer. This is so we can stick to the timelines and fit everyone in. However, if you’d like a longer engagement photo session or you have a different location in mind, we’re all ears. Contact our team.
4. How many photos do we get?
At least 60 professionally edited images.
5. Can I choose which photos are professionally edited?
There’s no need! All great photos are edited and included in the online gallery – we don’t hold back! The only ones we get rid of are duplicates and ones where people have their eyes closed.
6. What should we wear for our engagement photos?
Wear clothes and footwear that’s comfortable and you feel good in. For more tips on what to wear, check out our guide, What to wear for engagement photos.
7. What happens if it rains on the day or the weather is bad?
After quietly cursing the bad weather, we’ll carry on. As professional wedding photographers, we’ve shot in the rain, snow, and gale-force winds. (OK, maybe not gale-force but definitely very strong breezes!) If the weather’s bad, we’ll make sure we bring the necessary accessories. Plus, rain and inclement weather is fun to play with in photos. It always adds character.
Should I come with my hair and makeup done?
Yes please. The Amelia C & Co team will do basic touch-ups. This doesn’t extend to full makeup application or hair styling from scratch.
