Their Story
We have a lot of couples come from all over the country to celebrate their wedding day with us but these two might win the prize for farthest trek, coming all the way from Poland! These lovebirds met each other in the summer of 2013 at a party in a club in Lodz, Poland. Weronika at that time was there studying for her second year of school and Jort was living there for 2 years after moving from his homeland of Holland to work at his father’s company. “We saw each other on the dance floor and we both danced alone after some time our eyes met and we both felt sparks and shared a smile,” said Jort. He finally worked up the nerve to approach Weronika and tried to speak the best Polish he could (as it was not so good at that time!) That mixed with the loud music made it impossible for Weronika to understand anything so they went upstairs to try and have a normal conversation. They spoke for some time and had drinks together and danced. A day later Jort invited Weronika to the cinema and they started officially dating. From that day on they were inseparable!
They knew a Cactus Collective wedding in Red Rock Canyon was perfect for them, as they wanted the day to go just as they envisioned with no stress. This wouldn’t have been possible in Poland. An added perk is that they both love nature and anything outdoors so this was an all around dream come true. We are so glad we could give them the wedding they have always wanted and make it an extra special day to start their lives together.
