Their story.

If you want to see a couple that is literally made for an intimate elopement-type wedding in the glory of the Las Vegas, look no further than Lindsay and Joe.  Their cute meet story is so funny and, well, cute that we didn’t know whether to cry of happiness or call Judd Apatow when we heard it. The story goes that after getting a little too buzzed at a friend’s wedding, Lindsay’s friend drove her home and on the way they wound up hitting a road cone.

When her friend pulled into a gas station to check the damage, Lindsay spotted a cop that looked like her ex boyfriend so she did what any rational person would do and went over to flip him the bird. To her horror it wasn’t her ex, it was Joe, and she now looked not only drunk in public but also like she was assaulting an officer. Even though he threw her into the back of his police car, she noticed how cute he was and made him add her to Facebook right then and there. He waited a full year to contact her on Facebook and eventually they wound up going on their first date where they knew immediately they were soulmates.

“No matter how hard you try, it will definitely NOT go exactly how you plan!” says Lindsay. “Don’t stress, have fun, and just roll with the punches!”

Lindsay and Joe decided Vegas would be their perfect place to say “I do” seeing that they both love people-watching and making up their own stories about people’s lives. What better place to do that than Las Vegas? They also had never been into the idea of having a huge wedding or trying to prove their love in front of friends and family so they loved the idea of this intimate setting. They were blown away by just how gorgeous Red Rock Canyon actually was in person as well!

This fun-loving couple did however make sure that their son Greyson was there. That was a must-have element for them. Joe made it extra special by giving Greyson a police badge to symbolize that he would always protect him.

Although Lindsay’s best friend Ashley couldn’t be there, she was able to help her pick out the perfect dress (the first dress she tried on!) and also helped make her bouquet, making it extra special. Since the couple drove from Indiana to Las Vegas they couldn’t avoid seeing each other before the ceremony but they were just thrilled to make it there after both getting the flu earlier that week. Thankfully these love birds recovered in time but opted for a non-traditional fist bump after saying their vows just in case!

Even though they say their wedding day was complete chaos from forgetting the marriage license at their hotel, to a biker driving straight through their wedding photos, it was absolutely perfect for them in every way.
