Their Story

These healthy lovebirds met at a CrossFit competition in Denver years ago. “He commented on my butt,” jokes Shelby.  They have been together for 5 years since then. Dan popped the question during some Christmas shopping one day. He took Shelby to a dark and sultry place called Ophelia’s, which was right up her alley. After ordering a bottle of champagne Shelby thought “WOW! He’s going all out!” It turns out the entire wait staff was in on it and when the  bottle arrived he reached in his coat pocket and pulled out the ring.

This fun loving, easy going couple got married in one of our most fun locations: Eldorado Canyon. Shelby wore a short length, long-sleeved white lace gown, keeping it fun and flirty. Dan matched in slacks and a nice vest. There was an effortless ease about these two that was so great to see. Shelby got her hair and nails done at the Park MGM salon and highly recommends them for other brides looking for some stress-free pampering on their big day.

Even fun loving couples wind up getting swept away with emotion during a breathtaking Vegas desert wedding. “I didn’t think I would get so emotional and I did…neither of us could hold back our tears during the ceremony,” said Shelby.

Their advice to other couples eloping is “Don’t sweat the small stuff. If things go ‘wrong’ it is a lasting memory that you can reminisce for years to come!” Truer words have never been spoken!
