Their story.

Some love stories begin without the people involved even realizing it. Such is the case for Ashlee and Kevin who met at the age of 14 and did nothing more than attend a school dance together. Flash forward years later at their 10 year high school reunion where they were both divorced and looking for a new start and they locked eyes across the room. Fireworks exploded for both and they quickly became one big blended family. After dating 7 years they knew they had to elope or they would burst so Kevin proposed over drinks at their home one night.

“It was quiet and understated and perfect for us.”

The couple chose Red Red Canyon to say “I Do” and decided to ride to the location together, capturing fun candid shots of each other along the way and enjoying being silly with each other!

Ashlee wanted her 3 daughters to be a big part of picking out the dress since they were eloping (and because the girls are huge fans of “Say Yes To The Dress”). After trying on 3 different ball gown type options, the girls all picked a simple dress with a lace sheath, french bustle and sash for her to try on and she instantly knew it was the one. Wearing that dress made Ashlee feel like they were right there with her during the ceremony.

The couple’s favorite part of the day was saying their vows. Ashlee says she got goosebumps while saying them as she looked at Kevin who was calm, steady, and confident. “I just remember thinking ‘Yes I Do’” she says. “This man is my partner in life for better or worse. I get it now. It’s him and it’s always been him.” Hearing sentiments like these are the reason we love our job. We wish Ashlee and Kevin all the best with their new life together!
